The 3rd Annual Junior Aid Holiday Shop was held at Tedesco Country Club (154 Tedesco Road, Marblehead, MA 01945) from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17th, 2007.
The shop featured more than 20 unique gift vendors, many of whose work is not available in retail stores. Also, the first 250 shoppers received a coupon filled recycled tote from Junior Aid as a reminder to “Go Green!” during the holiday season. Our Holiday Shoppers also had a chance to win a red iPod Nano, a BMW bike and a Quinny Zapp baby stroller (retailing for $240) in the Holiday Shop Raffle, as well as 25 other prizes in the balloon pops. Santa arrived at the Shop on Saturday to hear the Christmas lists of North Shore children.
Some of the local retailers featured at the 2007 Holiday Shop included HER Designs, Tiny Critter and Hip Baby Gear of Marblehead, Chulamama maternity and baby shop of Salem, J & J Graphics of Swampscott. The Holiday Shop also featured local artisans such as Tickled Pink Designs, Jules Beach and Naugus Head Designs all of Marblehead.
